I would like to extend a huge thank you to the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection for embracing letterboxing in such a positive manner. What better way for visitors to enjoy our state's many beautiful state forests.

I propose we issue a special invitation  to the thoughtful people who placed these boxes to attend the next Connecticut gathering so that we may honor and thank them in person.

May this wonderful gesture set an example for governmental land stewards in other areas to do the same.
